Movie Review: She’s Crushed (year of release unknown) seen on tubi
Horror/slasher; not recommended for young children, graphic violence, gory scenes, sexuality, coarse language, scenes of impending suicide, nudity
This movie follows a psychotic woman who receives help from a man who lives next door to her in carrying a suitcase which she claims hold items from her past. When she persists in calling him after he assists her at least two more times, he warns her several times to leave him and his girlfriend alone. This results in her going on a murderous rampage where she kills those closest to him in violent and graphic ways such as chopping body parts off, replacing their human blood with the blood of animals, shooting people, stabbing them in the throat, killing them with drills, ETC. After each of the murders, their bodies are placed in suitcases piece by piece where she disposes of them thus giving the explanation of what the suitcase was for at the beginning of the film. By the end of this movie, she is the only one who survives with literally everyone else in the film having fallen victim to her rampage.
This was a movie I came across while surfing on Tubi trying to find something to watch. As I have been known to be a fan of the whole “woman goes on a rampage after finding out the guy she likes has a wife/girlfriend,” trope which usually forces a fight between the two by the end of the film, I chose to watch this one as the description of it seemed to fit this formula. I had never heard of it before but I figured it couldn’t be that bad and there really isn’t much I can’t handle in terms of violence in movies. However, from the opening scene of this movie, I was grossed out, horrified, (not scared but I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,) and I couldn’t wait for this movie to be over. I’ve never seen a movie with this much blood before. I know that mom would not be able to make it through the first scene let alone the whole movie. There was someone dying every two or three scenes and this woman was involved in every death. This was also one of those movies where the villain doesn’t get his/her, (but in this case, her comeuppance,) as she does not die and is not arrested for her actions. To be fair though, I also noticed that the guy did everything in his power to get her to leave him and his girlfriend alone including threats, giving into her requests with the agreement that she will leave him alone after, only for her to go back on her word, ETC. However, not once in this film did the guy go to the police which is probably why she didn’t get arrested. I would have thought this would have been the first place he would go if she wouldn’t leave him alone especially with numerous pleas and requests for her to do so.
To make this real simple, from start to finish this movie is a blood bath and it is definitely not recommended for young children or people who are squeamish or have sensitive stomachs.
