Movie Review: My Old Ass (2024)

Movie Review: My Old Ass (2024) seen in theatres

Comedy/Drama: not recommended for young children, sexual content

I have to be honest. The whole time I was in the theatre watching this movie, my mind was elsewhere. I know I watched the trailer for this film and it seemed ok but by the time I watched it, my mind was anywhere but on the movie due to issues I had prior to going to the movies. For the first time in months, it appeared that my ability to write blogs was in question as my Xbox which has all the streaming services where I watch these movies broke earlier this morning and I had to find other means to watch my movies if I was going to continue. It was a very stressful day for me because I love writing these blogs. Luckily I managed to find other temporary means to continue blogging but the thought of possibly having to stop doing what I love consumed me throughout this film to a point where I forgot what the plot was all together. Having said that, I’m a single guy and I just happened to tune myself back in at points where there was lesbian encounters. There were a lot of these in this film and therefore, the plot was irrelevant to me. As long as I got to see what I did, nothing else mattered. The best I can do in regards to giving any sort of plot would be to say she gets hypnotized and hallucinates her older self giving advice to her younger self. That’s all I can remember and usually this would result in a movie obtaining a low rating due to me not understanding the plot of it and not being myself while I watched it. However, as this movie had a lot of good stuff in it, (if you know what I mean,) it was enough to boost the rating. It doesn’t matter how the rest of the movie was. I’m a guy and I really enjoyed the romance scenes. Therefore to me, this was a pass

Movie rating: 10 out of 10
