What makes a good neighbor?

I’m going to make this real simple. I know I haven’t been the greatest neighbour to most people who I’ve lived next to over the years due to me being loud and not caring what time it is when I’m loud. The thing is though, ask me if I care. The fact is that if I pay to live in a place, I should be able to be as loud as I see fit and those who inquire about the loud noise and try to find out what’s wrong should mind their own business. I’ve had a lot of problems with nosy neighbours who have complained about the noise to the management where I live and to those people I say fuck you. Nobody needs to know why I’m having a bad day. They don’t have the problems I do. However, I’ve been told by s bunch of people that I need to respect them and that they live where I live too, ETC Well I have to ask this. How does me having a bad day and reacting to that bad day effect their living arrangement? If they choose to just mind their own business and not feel the need to inquire about my every move, we wouldn’t have any problems.

I will say that these days, my views on what makes good neighbours has changed though. I just want to be left alone and not bothered. I don’t bother anybody, nobody should bother me, I like my privacy so those who give me that privacy will have earned the title of a good neighbour. You want to be good, just leave me alone.
