Movie review: My Mother’s Killer Boyfriend (year of release unknown)

Movie review: My Mother’s Killer Boyfriend (year of release unknown) seen on Prime Video

Drama; not recommended for young children; violence, coarse language and some scenes of sexuality and nudity

This movie follows a single mother who falls for a teacher who is at first shown to be charming but quickly reveals his dark side.

I just realized I sort of went back on my word as my previous blog said that movie reviews would be returning soon. This was one of those movies where I didn’t want to do a blog on at first as it once again follows the same trope as the movies I’ve been known to watch. Single woman is charmed by a man possessing high knowledge which gives him power only for that man to reveal himself as being the total opposite by the end of the film. I have to be honest in saying that while my condition has improved to the point where I’m once again able to do this, I’m not up to repeating the same thing over and over again. This is why I initially did not want to do a blog on this movie. I even tried to watch another movie, one that I have already done a blog on. However, I’ve watched and reviewed so many to this point that I’ve lost count of how many I reviewed so far. Also when I obtained the space on this website, I made a promise to myself and certain members of my family that I would review every single new movie I watched so this review, as short as it is, was done to keep my word and to continue the trend of “every new movie I watch needs to be reviewed.” Though there are very few takeaways from this film, I will say that the main villain reminds me of a bus driver who I had an argument with many years back on a day when I had been shut down by a girl I liked while attending a group with my best friend. Coincidentally, this was the same day that I had a nagging headache and the issue was small but I said a few things I shouldn’t have and to this day, I felt like I might have been rude but who cares. The point is that the guy in the movie sort of looks like him and by the end of the movie, he acts like him as well, though the bus driver wasn’t nearly as bad as the guy in the movie. Also those who have read my reviews up to this point must be used to me commenting positively when there is a hot girl in the movie and this usually boosts the rating despite how the rest of the movie was. This movie was one of those movies. The woman he dates was hot. Now that I think about it, for a blog that was never supposed to be written and would have been given a negative review when I finally decided to review it, the smallest little detail in the world was once again enough to boost this rating and I’m sure a lot of people will know what that was of course, it was the fact that the girl was hot. I sometimes feel sorry for myself for being single but I have to admit, it has it’s advantages. Once again my admiration for one of the actresses made all of the difference. For all the guy was evil throughout the movie, he sure knows how to pick women.

Movie rating: 10 out of 10
