What are your favorite animals?

I could go on and on about animals I don’t like. Everybody must know by now that I’m not a fan of birds. Honestly I wish they were extinct. Pretty much the same can be said for all animals…..except for cats and dogs. I’m an absolute fan of those animals, more specifically small kittens and puppies. The ones who like to cuddle and fall asleep on you while you’re sitting somewhere, (on your couch or a chair,) ETC. My mother has a small cat that she acquired during a point of covid isolation in my building. Therefore, I did not see him for his first few years of life. However, I did see him a few times since then. He is shown to be nervous around me as he doesn’t know me as well as other people but he likes to play with my feet and has been known to cuddle with me on the couch. There was a point last Christmas where I was staying at my mother house when I had just been diagnosed with covid. I woke up and couldn’t breathe and I was coughing, ETC. The cat came in the room as I laid on the mattress and laid on the other end of it and fell asleep. The warmth from his fur was enough to make me feel secure to fall asleep right next to him. The next morning, my mother came in the room and saw us sleeping next to each other which she thought was cute.

On a different note, growing up we had our fair share of cats and dogs as pets. We had a regular size cat and a few small kittens, (including two male ones that were brothers,) and two female dogs, one which was a beagle and one which I think was a Labrador, (I can’t remember exactly what breed she was.) The Labrador was the last pet we had before I moved out on my own and she was attached to me as was the beagle and pretty much now that I think about it, all of the animals we had growing up had a special connection to me. These are just two animals I simply adore….cats and dogs. To be honest, a goal that I have which is unreachable is to have my own cat or dog. The reason it is unreachable is because my building where I live isn’t pet friendly. Having said that, I have pictures of my mother’s cat on my phone and I know I will see him again when I visit mom. However, to make it simple, my favourite animals are cats and dogs.
