This is a hard one to answer. I would think nostalgia is anything or anybody I grew up idolizing. In this case, there are a lot of things that make me feel nostalgic. However, the main thing that makes me feel this way is when I come across a movie that I watched when I was a kid and had not seen it since then. As I watch this movie in the present day, it makes me feel happy as I remember the things that were current when I first saw the movie. Movies such as ones that promote nostalgia are ones that existed mainly in the late 90’s or early to mid 2000’s, most of which I have seen with my mother. There have been some that I have come across which I did not see when they first came out. These movies include Saving Silverman and a new one that I came across at a thrift store recently called Say it isn’t so. I first saw Saving Silverman a few months back and I was drawn to it by the casting of Jack Black. I had never heard of Say it isn’t so prior to finding it in the thrift store but after watching the preview and realizing it is from the early 2000’s, I thought it would be a good movie as it is also a rom com which is my preferred genre of movies. For those of you who are wondering, there will be a review of this movie after the holidays when I watch it. As of right now though, my focus is on Christmas movies as it is almost here. I’m actually going to review One Magic Christmas tomorrow and I will see if I can find another Christmas movie on Prime Video/Netflix, ETC to review as I find those ones have been lacking given the time of year and I have not watched enough Christmas movies to get into the spirit of the season to this point and I’m running out of time to do so. So I promise to do this starting tonight again.
However, as for hat makes me feel nostalgic, it’s basically movies that I grew up watching. This is fitting given the fact that I love to review them.
