Answer to daily writing prompt

Daily writing prompt
Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you?

I’m not sure if I should be answering this question based on the nature of the response most people close to me would think I would give. However, I will do my best to answer this question. To be honest, I’m a little too old to play with anything. I would think playtime is reserved for little children and not adults. As far as I’m concerned, playtime for adults means something totally inappropriate. The truth is that I don’t engage in playtime but if I did, I wouldn’t be playing with building blocks or hot wheels and I for sure would care about board games or telling jokes. If I was to engage in playtime, it would have to be at a point where I’m no longer single. This is because I feel like nobody should play alone. I mean, isn’t the idea of playtime to be with your friends? Having said that, I don’t want to engage in playtime with my friend because truth be told, we’re both adults and while one of us likes to play, my friend can’t because he is married.

If you’ve made it this far into the response, you are probably thinking that this answer is inappropriate as most people would likely be able to figure out the implication I’m trying to make. Of course, it’s a sexual one but I don’t mean to offend anybody. This is why I want to try and make up for this unacceptable and inappropriate response by saying that I have engaged in playtime because truth be told, any chance I get to sleep is fun for me. I guess you could say that I have fun in a magical world called dream land where I have a girlfriend and where my hobby of reviewing movies has turned into a job where I make a whole bunch of money. The problem is that eventually I wake up and it was all a dream.

I have to say that this was the hardest question for me to answer appropriately. I actually had to think about the answer to this one which wasn’t easy.
