What snack would you eat right now?

The short answer to this question is nothing if the question specifies anything I would eat at this moment because I’m not hungry. In general though, I do have some favourite snacks which are somewhat healthy, others not so much. I love peanut butter on crackers and I recently tried peanut butter on muffins. This was something I had never heard of until my mother got me into it. At first it seemed like an odd combination to put peanut butter on muffins but after trying it, it’s now something I live by especially when the muffin is microwaved first. I also like eating pieces of pepperoni which are cut into pieces, sometimes with crackers and peanut butter on the side. Pretty much, my idea of a healthy snack is anything that incorporates peanut butter. This is about as far as my healthy snack habits go but I also have many more unhealthy snacking habits, all of which my mother frowns upon. I absolutely love potato chips, chocolate, popcorn, and even pizza as a snack. As much as I shouldn’t do this as it doesn’t really qualify as a snack, if I’m near a McDonald’s restaurant and starving, sometimes I will go and have a small hamburger or fry as a snack and I will almost always drink pop with whatever I eat. Also, I’m one of those people who cannot go to the movies without eating popcorn mixed with a bag of candy, (most of the time, I like Reese Minis but I have recently started to eat gummy bears.) Also my mother has put rules down that I can only get the smallest size of everything no matter where I go, (small popcorn at the movies, small drink at the movies, small portions of food at restaurants, ETC,) where I would opt to get the medium or even the large given how small the cups are at the theatre. In general, I love Pepsi and junk food, especially food from restaurants. I was sick on New Year’s eve and I had to cancel plans to go to a friend’s house. I’m actually still recovering from my illness. It was a bad cold I caught from my mother during Christmas. Since I couldn’t go out to my friend’s house, I ordered a small pizza for supper that night though I could not really enjoy it as I spent most of my time coughing, sneezing and taking showers. However, the point is that the pizza made it all worth it. It turned my New Year’s eve into a passable one where it would have been no good otherwise. However, my favourite snacks are mostly frowned upon by those around me except for the ones incorporating peanut butter. I don’t eat a lot of fruit or yogurt which is something my mother objects to of course. She always tells me that things such as yogurt and fruit qualify as better snacks than what I eat. I agree with her on this point but since I’m online and mom won’t read this, I will say that the unhealthy snacks are better. If I had to choose a somewhat healthy snack though, I would definitely choose anything with peanut butter.

I’ll make this simple and say I am a fan of the bad stuff but an equal fan of anything with peanut butter. To be fair, I do eat yogurt and fruit sometimes and this is good….but snacks like chips, chocolate, pop, ETC are better. This must be the rebellious side of me talking. I will just say this. My favourite snacks aren’t the most desirable where people in my life are concerned but at the same time, they’re not bad either. I owe my success in trying to be healthy to my mother who has made it her mission to ensure that I eat healthy.
