I’m what most people would call old school in the sense that I like to do things the old fashioned way. I’ve never really adapted to the digital age. I’ve never cared at all for things like Facebook or any types of messenger and I prefer making calls as opposed to texting especially when what I have to say is basically a long story that I have a hard time writing and I find it just easier to call. The problem is that most people dispute this fact and would rather me text them as opposed to calling them. In the past few years though, I have changed my ways somewhat. This really started when I obtained my place on this site and started reviewing movies more and I love being on this site. Besides this, I only basically watch tv through the internet on YouTube. I don’t have basic cable anymore as I feel like tv these days has become too stale for me to pay upwards of $100.00 a month, (sometimes more,) on a service I don’t use. However, this is a way that I use the internet. Also recently I started using email every so often. However, this is few and far between and I really only check my email every few days or even months. With all this being said though, I’m not like everybody else who basically lives online but I guess I have had my moments. If I wasn’t interested in being online, I would not want my site anymore and this is something I live by. By the way for those who are wondering, my movie reviews have been put on hold for the time being as I recover from an illness which I caught at Christmas. However, I am in the process of finding different movies, (even Christmas ones as I feel that the holiday was poorly represented at the time,) to review once my movie reviews do resume. I do not know an exact date as to when they will return full time as I have just not been feeling up to reviewing movies recently. I will say that it is still something I actively do. Now that I think of it, I think my next review will be on the 2014 comedy “Blended.” However, I’m not sure when I will review that one. I have a lot going on this week including a doctor’s appointment and then my mother’s birthday so it may be before or after that depending on how busy I am.
All things considered though, I communicated online in various ways. I’m sure that there’s a lot of people who communicate online much more than I do. At the end of the day, I’m still the guy who prefers to do things the old fashioned way. I will say though that the online community has really changed my life for the better.
