If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?

This is a really hard question to answer. There are a lot of things that would be cool for pets to understand about humans. I would say that I would like my pet to understand how life works in general. I think it would be funny to see my mother’s cat try to get a job and pay bills, go to doctor’s appointments, ETC. However, it would be cool for pets to be able to talk and to understand human language. Maybe if he was able to carry on a conversation with me or my mother and make phone calls, ETC. However, I think the one thing I would make my mother’s cat understand is our first names and how we relate to each other and him as well. For example, he would know me as Jeff and he would know my mother as Lucie and he would see us as his mother and brother respectively. I think it would be cool if he not only knew us by name but he knew that my mother was his mother and that I was his brother. This is another one of those questions that I’m glad came up because on any given day, I’m always attributing human situations to him as if he would know how to handle it. For example, I introduce myself to him and hope that he will introduce himself or hope that he understands how to deal with people like we do and while this tends to generate a laugh from mom, it usually results in her annoyingly saying that he’s a cat and doesn’t understand things that human beings understand. Having said that, it would be pretty cool if he did.
