I’ve never been a big sports guy. I’m probably one of the few people in the world that doesn’t care about hockey or any other sport. Growing up, I was a bit of a fan of basketball but I never attended any games in person. I didn’t really have a favorite player other than Michael Jordan and I think this was because of the movie “Space Jam” which I saw multiple times as a kid. If I had to choose any sport to watch, it would be Wrestling. This especially applies to the classics from the mid 2000’s. I don’t really care much for the current product though as it has become stale and predictable. All of the wrestlers I grew up idolizing are older now. Having said that, I have watched it a bit more this year since they moved all of their content to Netflix. They have all sorts of the good stuff from when I used to watch Wrestling regularly. My goal is to make up for lost time and watch this as much as possible but the problem is that it interferes with my movie reviews and I find myself having trouble finding the right balance between when to watch Wrestling and when to do my movie reviews. Another problem is that I’ve been very sick recently though I have made leaps and bounds towards recovering from a cold I caught from mom at Christmas…one which sidelined me from plans on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s day. The reason why this is relevant is because Wrestling was added to Netflix on New Year’s day but I wasn’t feeling well enough to watch it nor have I been feeling 100% since it’s been on there. Also, a lot of times, I have errands to run which despite only taking a few minutes to complete usually take up a whole afternoon or evening due to me having to wait for the bus. In my current condition, one outing can drain me for the rest of the evening which results in me being unable to watch Wrestling despite having intentions to. So even though there are a lot of factors, this new development, (having classic Wrestling on Netflix,) has caused me to revert back to the way it was when I first started enjoying Wrestling and in time, I will begin watching it more regularly. Having said that, I have not been able to enjoy it as much as I have wanted to for various reasons. The short answer to this is that my favorite sport is Wrestling. I may have taken a break from it in recent years but these new occurrences have changed my view on it back to the way it was before.
