Movie Review: One Of Them Days (2025) seen in theatres

Comedy: not recommended for young children; mature themes, coarse language, mild medical images, some violence, sexually suggestive themes including dialogue, scenes which imply homelessness and poverty

This movie follows two young girls who must fight to gain the rent money that was stolen by one of their boyfriends for his own need with the threat of eviction if they cannot due so by 6:00 p.m. on the day the rent is due.

This movie was for all intents and purposes one that I could take or leave. After seeing the preview for this movie, it appeared as if it would be enjoyable at best. However, the preview for this movie was seen by me before Christmas and before I got really ill as well. This movie has the honor of being the first movie I’ve seen in theatres in the year 2025 but after all the things I had to put up with before and after, I really hope it’s my last for a while. First of all, it was freezing out today and I’m still not completely over my illness, (despite having no present symptoms at least to the degree they were when I was sick,) so the last thing I wanted to really do was go to the movies where I usually don’t feel the greatest afterwards and have to wait hours on end for para to show up. However, the movie itself was extremely hard for me to follow from start to finish as well and I took the opportunity to get some much needed shut eye during the film. I only woke up at the end and was drifting in and out before the end. Therefore, I cannot recall certain scenes in this movie and I do not know exactly what happens or how it ends to be honest. When I finally did wake up, the conflict had been resolved but I did not see what happened. Therefore, I have to say that I have no real opinion of this movie and it’s a good thing I had gift cards to pay for it otherwise it would have been a waste of money given the fact that it can be argued if I have seen it at all. It was at that point when I realized that going to the movies isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and I have a much better selection of movies here, (which I promise to get to in terms of reviewing soon,) so therefore, I’m hoping that there’s no good movies on for a while. As I say this though, I have come to the realization that there is one called “Flight Risk.” that I want to see. Maybe after that one, I will decide not to go to any other until “Snow White,” comes out in March as the girl who plays her is really hot and I’m hoping that on this fact at least, that movie will receive a much higher rating than this one does and since it’s a new year, I’m going to do something new with this one that has never been done before but will start with movies that I think are as bad as this one was. The one good thing about this movie is it’s title because it speaks volumes to how bad my day was. I guess it was just one of them days. Other than that, this movie was horrible and as for the new thing I said I was going to do, I’m going to do that right now. In a nutshell, this movie is not recommended.

If some people didn’t notice, the rating for this movie is in the negative which is the reason for the line before the number 10. From now on, movies that I deem to be as bad as this one will receive a negative rating. I would not recommend this movie and I certainly hope the next one is better.
