Do you believe in fate/destiny?

Not really if I’m being honest. It hasn’t really gotten me anywhere in my 35 years. I mean, if it did, then there are certain things that wouldn’t have occurred recently like mom having cancer, ETC. Then again, I could have it all wrong in my assumption of what these two words mean. To be fair, I’ve only heard of fate and destiny in tv shows and children’s movies. Having said that, if destiny or fate means good things will happen, then I have to say that I do not believe in fate or destiny.
