Aside from the ten months of my life I was stuck in the government, I’ve never really had a job, at least one that I took seriously or cared about. During my time in the government, I used a computer so there was really no change there. Since then I’ve acquired a place on this site and to be honest, technology wasn’t really my thing before I acquired this site. I would only use my computer once a month to pay for my bus pass and that was it. My thing with technology was always my phone and driving people crazy by either calling them excessively, (more than they desired to be,) or believing that my phone was broken due to the lack of incoming calls I was receiving which to me necessitated people in my life to call me over and over again to ensure it was working. This is something that I still do to this day but something I am trying really hard not to get people to do. It started about 5 or 6 months after I initially moved out on my own. Something happened to my phone overnight. It was some type of connection issue where I could not make the call. I brought the phone to my carrier and they didn’t know what was wrong with it and it just turned into this big problem that I still have to this day but like I said I’m trying to get over this. I’ve lived alone for ten years at the time of this writing which means this problem has been driving me and everybody else crazy for ten years. That being said, computers were never really my thing until I found a place on this site. I never cared for things like Facebook or Instagram, ETC. The internet just wasn’t something I was interested in. Also even though my phone had a texting plan, I always opted to call people rather than text them as I considered myself to be old school and did not adapt well into the digital age. There have been times when texting was preferred by certain people, (most notably mom,) but I would always call her and annoy her unwillingly in the process. She would tell me things like “you can’t just text me?” ETC. However, everything changed when I acquired this site and now the computer and the internet as a whole is something I live by. There’s been very few days since I started using this site where I have not posted something, be it one of my movie reviews or a personal blog. This is just something I really enjoy. It’s a shame that I don’t get paid for all the blogs I write. So while I can say that technology hasn’t changed my job as I do not have one, it did change something a little more valuable to me. It changed my life and I’m still waiting for a girlfriend to change my life even more than technology already has. It changed my life for the better but as the saying goes, there’s always room for improvement and I think a girlfriend would make my life even better. Maybe this would give me someone to share all of my blogs with.
