Movie Review: Web Of Desire (year of release unknown)

Movie Review: Web Of Desire (year of release unknown) seen on Tubi

I have to be honest in saying this. I know people would have read in my last few movie reviews that (insert name of movie,) came really close to being the first movie I have seen which will not receive a review either due to it’s confusing storyline, or an overused opinion which has now become repetitive, (one that most people have read numerous times most likely in succession. This means that the opinion is pretty much the same as the last movie reviewed.) This could also be movies that follow the same basic premise which in my case is usually the obsessive stalker type movie where a person meets someone who appears to be nice only to re veal their dark side and threaten them by possibly engaging in sexual activity with one of the person’s family members or trying to harm them in some way, either by murder or blackmail, ETC. The fact is that I have recently realized that all the movies I desire to watch in some way reflect those tropes and it’s just the same thing over and over again. This has lead me to say numerous times that I would not review (insert name of movie,) for the above listed reasons only to piece together a review at the last second in the name of keeping my word that every single movie gets a review no matter how bad it was. In most cases, due to the lack of opinion I have for the movie in question, it would always result in getting zero in terms of the overall rating. Well, I can honestly say that this movie was by far the closest to receiving the distinction of being the first movie I’ve seen since writing the reviews to not receive a review and I was serious this time. As a matter of fact, the opening scene of this movie reflects a time in my past that I would like to forget itself. I will not divulge what this scene was but as I mentioned, this movie is available on Tubi so you are able to watch it if you want. It hits way too close to home and the rest of this movie is the same old annoying tired concept of all the other ones. The person starts off with good intentions only to basically reveal their dark side and I think you know from having read my previous reviews what happens next. I’m really sick of these types of movies and I know I need to expand my viewing desires. You’ll notice that this movie is the first one I’ve reviewed to not feature a description. This is because the description of this film is pretty much the same as the last few I’ve wrote. If you want to know what happens, either watch this movie or simply refer to the last few reviews I’ve wrote, (with the exception of one or two that didn’t,) which likely have the same description as this one would.

The only reason I chose to write about this movie at all is simply because I indeed wanted to keep my word that every movie gets a review. This computer costs money and more importantly, my place on this site costs money so I think I owe it to myself to at least come up with something. Also, I thought that if I didn’t, then most people would likely believe that I no longer do movie reviews. There was a few times even after I sort of came up with the review I’m writing where I nearly decided against it for the above listed reasons. However, I have been haunted by that thought of this movie being the one that was so bad and predictable enough to not receive a review. This would have broken my streak and my promise that every movie gets a review. I had to think hard about what to write at all in this movie.

Having said all of this, I did come up with a little something to write about where this movie is concerned. THE WOMAN IN THIS MOVIE HAS NO BUSINESS AROUND MOM AND MOM SHOULD GO OUT OF HER WAY NOT TO BE AROUND THIS WOMAN. That is, if this makes any sense which is doesn’t. So if the only thing I can come up with in regards to this movie doesn’t make sense, it really shouldn’t be reviewed or watched.

Despite my having to scrape and borrow just to keep my streak alive, at least now I can feel comfortable knowing that this movie like all the other ones did have a review. It took a lot of effort but at least my promise has been kept. Hopefully the next reviewed movie isn’t as bad as this one. I’m also hoping that my hobby of reviewing movies, no matter what I think of them personally, is one that remains constant. This movie challenged that promise and even though I did end up writing something about it, that challenge as well as this movie as a whole have earned this movie a negative review.

Movie rating: -20 out of 20
