What is your favorite holiday? Why is it your favorite?

This should be an easy question to answer. I love Christmas. More specifically I love putting my tree up and decorating my house ETC. I also love the feeling of the months leading up to Christmas. I love shopping and listening to Christmas music and also, everybody seems to be in a better mood. I love having all the lights off in my house except for my Christmas tree lights. It really gives a happy feeling that the special time of year is just around the corner. The sad part is that once boxing day comes around and everything goes back to normal, I get a small sense of depression as I want to relive the months leading up to Christmas again. When it’s all over, for a while I feel sad but I know it will come around again the next year. I haven’t even addressed the best part of Christmas yet. I know I may be a little old for this but my favorite part of Christmas is seeing Santa Claus at the mall. I still have pictures from last year when I saw him. Seeing him brings about good memories of my childhood at Christmastime when my mother used to take us to the mall to see him every Christmas as we were growing up. Yes it’s true, at 35 years old I still enjoy getting my picture taken with Santa. Some things are just too good to let go of even as you get older. I don’t care what anyone says. Christmas is my favorite time of year except for the snow which is a different story. I’m sure a lot of people would agree with my dislike of the snow. Other than that, Christmas is something I absolutely love no matter how old I get. I also enjoy watching various Christmas movies and now that I review movies as a hobby, Christmas presents the perfect time to do so even though I did not review as many as I wanted last year but there’s always next year. The bottom line though is that it’s very easy for me to admit what my favorite holiday is and this is Christmas.
