Trivia For Sins Of the Brother Chapter 2

  1. Chris was supposed to make an appearance as my best man
  2. This would have been the first time Megan or spoke to him in the gap between our first wedding which took place in chapter 2 of “Silent Love” and this one.
  3. That gap would have been as long as ten years which means Chris and I would not have spoke in that time frame.
  4. Most of my dialogue was to reflect that of Woody’s character in “Toy story 2” where he acknowledges that Andy is growing up but refuses to miss it.
  5. The same scenario applies to me and mom in this story. The thought was that even though mom’s fate had already been written by the point in the story, she still would have wanted to see me off as a married man.
  6. That scene in “Toy Story 2” was my inspiration for the plot of this chapter.
  7. My other brother was supposed to appear alongside my brother that kidnapped me and successfully attempt to take Megan back upon me being loaded into the car.
  8. Another plot was to have me move in with my brother who was initially cheating on me with Megan. He would have accepted that things between him and Megan wouldn’t have worked but he still wouldn’t have wanted her to end up with me.
  9. My other brother was initially supposed to try and set her up with one of his unmarried friends from when we were kids.
  10. Early ideas for this story had my brother who initially cheated with Megan divorce his wife to try and get her back
  11. As this woman was not real, my brother’s wife was named Mary.
  12. It was originally thought that he would have had kids with Mary and would have tried to get Megan to bond with them as their stepmother but this idea was scrapped.
  13. It was just decided to not have Chris in the story to accentuate how little I relied on him and I couldn’t fit him in the story
  14. The hardest part of writing these stories is not being able to mention their names online as it would be much easier than always having to specify which brother was which.
  15. The inclusion of my other brother, (not the one who had previously fallen for Megan,) was an idea that my mother had in real life to make him the villain of the story.
  16. As it is mentioned in the story, the young child who intercepts the wedding is my real life nephew who is now only enough to be in grade school.
  17. The story ends on a cliffhanger as I am taken away. This is done to set up the next chapter of this story. Part 3 of this story is set to have a road trip storyline where I will be left somewhere with little to no money and have to figure out how to get home to my wife.
  18. When thinking about the idea for this chapter, I used movies that have road trip like storylines such as “Due Date and “Planes Trains and Automobiles” as my inspiration.
