This is something that I actually often think about in my spare time. There’s certain characters from tv and movies ETC that me and my best friend admire. Having said that coincidentally at this exact moment, I can’t think of any of them. Conveniently enough though, every day I’m thinking to myself about what it would be like to have a friendship or relationship ETC with (insert name of character,) but ironically enough, I can’t think of who that character is at this moment. A big problem I’ve had throughout my life is travel related so I would have to say maybe I would like to have dinner with Steve Martin. I’m also a big fan of Will Ferrell and Jack Black. As everybody knows, I’m a big movie guy so there’s a lot of Hollywood actors I admire. I suppose any one of the listed actors would work to have dinner with me but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Will Ferrell. However, I do not rule out having dinner with Jack Black or Steve Martin.
Now that I think about it though, I wouldn’t want any of those actors to be my friends because they are always busy with all of their money and fame and filming movies, ETC. I’m sure they would not have sufficient time to spend with me. Also I’ve heard that some Hollywood actors are people that the average person wouldn’t want to meet as some of those actors can be rude and talk down to people that aren’t as wealthy as them, ETC. Growing up, I always wanted to meet some professional wrestlers. Having said that, I’ve heard over the years that some of them can also be very rude to the general public and yell at them or ignore them ETC. Needless to say that they’re much better off than me financially and in terms of their celebrity status. Therefore they would look at me and turn the other cheek because I’m not in their league. They’re famous, they’re rich, they’re icons, and I’m just an average person with an average income and no celebrity status to speak of. With that in mind, I would not waste any minute of my time wanting to meet them as I would not want to be subjected to the treatment of “Don’t bother me, I make more money than you..” ETC. I feel like some things should just stay the way they are. These people are entertaining to me when I’m sitting at home watching them on my tv but to me that’s as far as it goes. They may provide me hours of enjoyment but in my eyes, they’re just people who make a ton of money who I feel like I have no business addressing in person because I feel like I would be insulted or belittled because I’m simply not anywhere near their status of wealth. Even if I did meet them, I would likely only get a picture with them, maybe an autograph but they wouldn’t be my friends or want anything to do with me beyond that. I have enough people in my life who are closer to me in terms of respect and love with as much of a celebrity status as I have. I don’t need or want anybody famous in my life beyond the confines of a movie theatre screen or a tv screen, maybe the confines of an arena if I go to Wrestling and they fight in the ring while I’m in the crowd. There’s no need to have a celebrity in the family because truth be told, if I had one, they would likely take all the attention away from me, (I know that sounds childish,) but it’s true.
It’s just like mom used to say. Real life is not tv show or a movie. To me, they don’t belong together. They’re fun to watch but that’s it.
However, to answer the question, I would like to have dinner with Steve Martin, Will Ferrell or Jack Black but I know it will be a long time before I can consider making reservations.
