Unfortunately I’m the type of person who doesn’t always see eye to eye with the opinions of other people. This is one of my many flaws. However, if I had to stop ne event from occurring, I think it would have been the covid pandemic. Just like nearly everybody else on earth, I had moments of anxiety as I sat home for months on end realizing nothing would ever be the same again. I hated wearing the masks and I pretty much had to watch my back when attending any sort of event. My younger brother got married only a few months into the start of the pandemic. As I lived in assisted living at the time I knew I would face consequences of two weeks worth of isolation just for participating. This was something I was warned of by my landlord weeks before the event, that I would have to isolate and that it wasn’t a good idea, ETC. Despite this, I still attended the wedding but had a hard time enjoying the festivities as I would be distracted by the impending threat of the fortnight isolation. I still tried to make the best of it and when I got back, sure enough I was blindsided by such a requirement which at the time resulted in me getting no sleep and breaking the record for the amount of times I called mom in the middle of the night to discuss the situation. I started at midnight before finally reaching her at 7 a.m. At this point I had called her a staggering 41 times between midnight at 7 a.m. This would not happen these days. This was just one of the many things I wish never occurred.
Fast forward six years later and my views have changed significantly. In a complete 180 from my views back then, I now appreciate being able to stay home when I can as I have gone out a lot recently! It just seems funny to me how things change but they did. To answer the question though, I would remove the covid pandemic all together. I think everybody would have. At least things are much better now.
